PROCESS VALIDATION& CGMP ENGINEERING
Our team of process engineers bring with them a wealth of experience across multiple pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical installations.
Many have worked both in manufacturing facilities as well as on design and thereby bring leading edge, practical knowledge to their solutions – we have the expertise to develop process designs that meet cGMP standards. Furthermore our engineers have executed validation on many projects previously, including DQ, IQ and OQ. We can work with clients and their personnel to develop protocols for projects, leveraging our in-house library of documentation.
Engineering Group has extensive experience and expertise in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare sectors with a unique understanding of the processes involved. At the core of what we do, our key abilities are to bring excellence and efficiency of design, operation and maintenance to the manufacturing process.
MECHANICAL, PIPING AND HVAC ENGINEERING
Our Building Services Design arm has a focus on passive design using renewable energy combined with the best of current technology in the active management of heating and ventilation systems providing design excellence that results in measurable reductions in energy costs. They work closely with the project architect to develop a design that maximises use of natural ventilation and daylight.
Our Piping and Building Services personnel use specialist software to develop our designs to ensure they are both effective and efficient and to drive the overall building energy rating to its highest feasible level. Our engineers regularly design in renewable technologies into building systems following a thorough check on the cost benefits which will accrue over the lifetime of the building. All of our piping and HVAC design is now completed in Autodesk Revit where possible.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CONTROLS
The Engineering Group has a wealth of experience in the design and commissioning of electrical power systems, from HV power distribution and transmission through to MV, LV and ELV systems. Our experience ranges from gas and steam turbine power stations, 400kV generation, HV switchyard design, data centre critical power system design & specification, pharmaceutical MV & LV distribution system design as well as commercial and industrial building services electrical design. Our team utilises specialist software and engineering tools to perform detailed Arc Flash & electrical power discrimination studies.
In conjunction with our highly experienced Instrumentation group, we approach E&I projects with a design synergy that guarantees the customer the best engineered solution. Our electrical and instrumentation teams are continuously up-skilling and embracing the latest technologies to ensure that the most current design standards and technologies are implemented.
The E&I group specialises in energy monitoring and conservation and is a market-leader in CHP and sustainable energy solutions. CHP feasibility studies and payback analysis reports can be carried out to identify energy saving opportunities for our customers.
PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Planning, organising, and managing resources to maximise efficiency and minimise costs at the design and construction phase, our project management facilities are at the very core of our ethos to provide a high quality, professional, competitive & personalised service to our clients. Blending appropriate methodology with current technology and a robust yet flexible control and monitoring system, our costs are consistently below those of our competitors for similar sized projects.
PSDP, PSCS, EHS AND BCAR SERVICES
Within our resources we have personnel who are specifically trained and have experience in the roles of PSDP and PSCS. Engineering Group employs a full-time Health and Safety officer who manages and co-ordinates these functions as well as assisting Project Managers and Designers in areas such as design risk assessments and Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 SI9.
Risk identification and prevention or mitigation are essential elements in overall risk analysis, and projects that are developed with these considerations from their inception will likely achieve industry leading safety statistics through to handover.
Our experience and knowledge accumulated over many projects stands alongside tried and tested systems and procedures. We have developed a robust approach to equipment and subcontract procurement. We also review and improve upon our methods and procedures on an ongoing basis. Where necessary we will conduct full prequalification exercises to establish the credentials of prospective bidders. The tendering process will then be followed by a thorough technical and commercial analysis in order to determine the most economically advantageous tender.
